The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) has called for IDM to
update the UK ACFE manual on data Mining. This is the third time that this
has been requested since it was originally written in 2000.

The "Good Practice in Tackling External Fraud" publication, which
has been
produced through collaborations between the National Audit Office (NAO) and
HM Treasury, highlights both the useful nature and importance of Data
Mining. This refers to the 2003 HM Treasury Fraud Report to which Richard

IDM is pleased to announce that our Technical Director, Alan Livesey, has
been selected in a pan-European open tender to train the European Anti-Fraud
Office (OLAF) in Brussels in modern methods of electronic fraud detection.
OLAF's mission is to "protect
the interests of the European Union, to fight
fraud, corruption and any other irregular activity, including misconduct
within the European Institutions". Once more, IDM's position as the
premier data mining consultancy has been reinforced.
